A manuscript play in pencil and ink originally titled Round the Clock, comedy in 3 acts by J.G. McArdle and copied by T.W. Oakland. The title appears to have been later changed to read Round the Clock, i.e. Around the Town by George H. Wood.

The Board of Trade statistician George Henry Wood (1874-1945) was the Secretary of the Huddersfield and District Woollen Manufacturers and Spinners Association from 1907. He was a free thinker and associate of A. L. Bowley, who read widely and was active in a variety of local radical movements.
